This empowering course is designed to help women build confidence and independence by mastering essential DIY skills and tools. Across four weeks, participants will gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in a supportive and inclusive environment. Here’s what you can expect.

Master Power Tools

Learn how to safely and effectively use a combi drill, impact driver, and SDS drill. This module will cover all the associated drill bits, screw bits, and screws to give you a comprehensive understanding of their applications for various tasks.

Build a Stud Wall Frame

Acquire fundamental construction skills through an in-depth exploration of the process for constructing a stud wall frame that complies with contemporary building regulations. In this extensive workshop, participants will also obtain invaluable experience in proficiently plasterboarding the frame, establishing a solid groundwork for engaging in various advanced home improvement initiatives in the future. This hands-on training not only sharpens practical skills but also enhances confidence in managing larger renovation projects around the residence.

Create a Custom Planter

Apply your new skills by creating a custom planter. This project will involve using an array of power tools, including a router and brad nailer. You’ll gain confidence in tool handling and unleash your creativity while crafting something functional and stylish establishing a solid groundwork for engaging in various advanced home improvement initiatives in the future. This hands-on training not only sharpens practical skills but also enhances confidence in managing larger renovation projects around the residence.

Hang Shelving and Curtain Poles

Learn the essentials of hanging shelving and curtain poles. This section focuses on using the correct wall fixings to ensure stability and safety. Additionally, participants will be taught how to repair holes in plasterboard, an invaluable skill for maintaining walls in tip-top condition
